A Building with Soul

Built in 1931 as the Lincoln Highway welcomed travelers between two railroad depots, The Morris has been a cornerstone of Reno for nearly a century.

From hotel rooms to residency housing to the beloved Morris Burner Hotel, this three-story brick landmark has witnessed Reno's evolution while maintaining its timeless character.

In 2026, The Morris reopens. A music venue, a basement cocktail bar, street-level retail, and creative offices. Same building that's been here since 1931. Completely rebuilt.

Opening May/June 2026 in the heart of Reno's Brewery District, adjacent to Abby's Highway 40.

Starsound Music Hall

An intimate 280-capacity indoor performance space with exposed brick, a dedicated stage, and acoustics engineered for live music, managed by Starsound Audio, Reno's premier live event company.

The Backyard

An open-air outdoor event space behind The Morris, a flexible, high-energy venue for festivals, concerts, markets, and community gatherings, with capacity for up to 1,800 guests.

Street-Level Retail

Street-facing retail space with soaring windows and modern finishes. Ideal for food & beverage, a cafe, sandwich counter, retail, or any creative storefront concept.

Basement Cocktail Bar

The Morris is proud to announce that our Music Hall and outdoor backyard will be managed by Starsound Audio, a Reno institution with 50 years of live event expertise and deep roots in the community.

Founded in 1975, Starsound Audio has been the backbone of Northern Nevada's live events scene, producing thousands of concerts, festivals, and cultural events across the region. From the Great Italian Festival to the Biggest Little City Wingfest, OffBeat Music Festival to BBQ Brews & Blues, Starsound brings the infrastructure, relationships, and passion to make live music happen.

As Starsound marks its 50th anniversary, The Morris becomes its next chapter, as a permanent home base for world-class sound, lighting, and production in the heart of Reno's Brewery District.
